Part 3 turns the player into an editorial strategist. The question is no longer whether the machine exists, but how to reveal it without reproducing its violence.

Scene 1Action threshold

System lens: when a system is exposed, delay is not neutral. Delay often functions as protection for whoever already holds narrative power.

Cassie has enough to publish, but not enough to publish carelessly.

The tape, the routing documents, the brand review notes, and the family language all point in the same direction. But timing matters. If Cassie moves too bluntly, Scoob turns it into rot. If she moves too softly, the machine absorbs the shock and calls itself responsible.

Scene 2Sensational pressure

System lens: systems survive when criticism repeats their preferred emotional script.

Scoob still wants the ugliest version.

He pitches a headline that turns Lena back into a casualty and Shawn into a creepy little villain, because that is easier to package than a machine. Cassie can already feel the trap: if the story becomes a freak show, the infrastructure disappears behind personality again.

Scene 3Emotional pressure

System lens: care language deserves respect, but it also deserves source analysis.

The call arrives sounding humane.

A family intermediary asks whether Cassie can tell the story without “reopening private wounds.” It is not an unreasonable question. That is what makes it potent. The player now has to distinguish between a human request for dignity and an institutional request for managed silence.

The hard question is not whether grief is real. It is whether grief is being routed into editorial control.

Scene 4Liability pressure

System lens: legal threat often narrows a public question into a procedural one.

The machine would love to make this about caution.

Cassie receives a polished note reminding her of context, estates, downstream harms, and interpretive ambiguity. None of it disproves the story. The function is not rebuttal. The function is to make institutional self-protection look like the highest form of seriousness.

Scene 5Absorption attempt

System lens: a system under pressure often offers a more tasteful version of its own lie.

The compromise is elegant and rotten.

A producer offers Cassie a “balanced” package: mention the tape, mention discomfort, mention legacy complexity, but remove the routing logic and the present-day coordination. The machine is offering her a version of truth that leaves its own organs intact.

System lens: framing is not cosmetic. Framing determines which interconnections the public can actually see.

Now the player decides what leads.

Part 3 does not ask what the truth is in the abstract. It asks which configuration of truths reveals the machine without feeding it. Use the Release Board on the right to choose the lead angle, witness opening, corroboration order, and harm boundary.

A strong release frame does not simply maximize impact. It maximizes clarity while refusing the machine’s favorite shortcuts.

System lens: changes in one part of the system affect trust, backlash, credibility, and who gets heard elsewhere.

The public does not react to facts alone. It reacts to frame.

Scene 8Diagnostic ending

System lens: the ending should reveal what your release made visible, what it obscured, and what kind of public memory it leaves behind.

What survives is not just evidence. It is framing.
